Terroir and winemaking

Ammasso wine of Barone Montalto is a red Sicilia Doc that expresses very well all the Sicilian wine knowledge. It is obtaneid from Nero d'Avola, Nerello Mascalese, Merlot e Cabernet Sauvignon, and it is entirely produced in the Belice Valley area in the hills surrounding Santa Ninfa village. Land's peculiarities give to the wine its strong characteristics. The production consists of four moments: grapes harvest, grape accurate selection, raising of the fruit in special fruit drying cellars and at the last, winemaking.

Tasting notes

A meditation red wine whose opulence is finely balanced by his structure. Candied notes mix to toasted hints and they give to the palate full and seductive sensations.

Pairing

Ammasso combines pleasantly every rich tasting dish. Serve this wine at a temperature between 14° and 16° C.

Curiosity

Ammasso stands for a traditional winemaking method applied still today to vinify the best Sicilian grapes.
