Terroir and wine making
The Frappato Cos is a pure wine, made from Frappato di Vittoria Terre Siciliane IGP grapes. The vineyards are organically cultivated on soils of medium consistency and calcareous nature, located 250 meters above sea level, in south-eastern Sicily. The fermentation is spontaneous and takes place in contact with the skins in the presence of indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged in cement tanks and then in bottle.
Taste notes
In the glass, Frappato Cos can be admired in its intense and luminous ruby red color. The nose fascinates with notes of juniper, rose and violet and other Mediterranean hints. Finally, on the palate it is velvety, soft and very pleasant. The finish has an excellent persistence.
Wine at the table
The Frappato Cos is a full-meal wine, which is enhanced in particular with spicy red meat dishes.
Curiosity
The name of the winery Cos is the acronym of the last names of its founders, three friends who in 1980 started their ambitious project to produce quality wines.
