Terroir and wine-making

In the charming estate of Borgo Guarini, Firriato has created the Garden of the Appassimenti, where the protagonists are the grapes essence of the sweet wines of the cellar. The generosity of aromas offered by the terroir is combined with a vinification process carefully studied to give personality to the taste. The fermentation in steel does not include passages in wooden barrels: a choice aimed at bringing out the pronounced aromaticity of the Zibibbo grapes to mature in a privileged context. The wine L'Ocra Firriato completes its profile with an aging of three months in bottle.

Notes of taste

The strong golden yellow colour reveals at first sight the expressive power of the sweet wine from Firriato: penetrating scents of dried figs, apricots and orange peel involve the senses in a kaleidoscope of pleasant sensations. On the palate, the fruity and harmonious aromas are confirmed with persistence and remarkable roundness.

Wine at the table

Perfect to accompany desserts, L'Ocra is also suitable for all meals: its structure also enhances the combinations with goat cheese and smoked fish.

Ocra is one of the latest creations of the Firriato winery, always attentive to innovate its collection with products that interpret with innovation and originality the terroir of origin: The Ocra, in fact, is distinguished from other Sicilian wines for its sweet acidity rich in aromatic notes.
