Terroir and wine-making

Since 1954, the Tenuta Regaleali vineyard has been growing in the historic vineyard of Perricone, which the winery Tasca d'Almerita takes care of with experience and dedication. The vine is particularly dear to Sicilian viticulture, always fond of its grapes that enrich the wine heritage of the territory. After the harvest, the fruits ferment in stainless steel tanks at a temperature that settles between 25 and 30 o C to remain then 13 days in contact with their skins. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in French oak barrels for about 12 months in the second and third passes.

Notes of taste

The Perricone Guarnaccio takes on an intense ruby red colour and intriguing spicy and fruity aromas, among which red fruits, geranium and eucalyptus stand out. On the palate it is warm, fresh and soft.

Wine at the table

With its powerful character, the Perricone Sicilia DOC Guarnaccio prefers the company of first courses to the sauce, roasted or grilled red meat, aged cheeses and game.

Curiosity

The Perricone GuarnaccioTasca d'Almerita has received over the years several awards and recognitions that have sealed its indisputable quality. To name the last in order of time: 93 points James Suckling, 91 points Robert Parker and 4 stars Vini Buoni d'Italia.
