Terroir and wine-making
The Zinfandel Platinum Collection Grande Alberone is born on calcareous-clay soils in Apulia with an east/ south-east exposure at 400 meters above the sea. It is grown with cordons scalloped and macerated on the skins for a prolonged period that allows the extraction of scents and colors. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, while the aging takes place in barrique for a few months.
Notes of taste
The red wine from Puglia of the winery Grande Alberone has an intense red in the glass with a delicate fruity bouquet and pleasant notes of cherries and ripe fruits. In the mouth, the taste is long and velvety, full texture with a long finish.
Wine at the table
Puglia IGT combines earth dishes, red meat, long-aged cheeses and mixed grilled meats. Wine to be served at no more than 18 °C.
Curiosity
The awards given to Zinfandel are numerous, among them the Berliner Wein Trophy, IWC, Gilbert & Gaillard and the Guide Luca Maroni.
