Terroir and wine-making
The Grillo Luma is made from grapes of the autochthonous grape that the winery Cellaro grows in the lands of Sambuca di Sicilia, in the province of Agrigento. The grapes are subjected to a soft pressing, strictly in reduction. The must ferments at very low temperatures to enhance the natural aroma of the wine. After a period of ageing in stainless steel barrels, the wine is ready to be tasted.
Notes of taste
Delicate in both color and perfume, the Grillo Lumà is dressed in straw yellow and smells especially of apple and exotic fruit, with slight floral notes. On the palate it is fresh and full, with a good taste and persistence. A harmonious wine with a pleasant almond aftertaste.
Wine at the table
The Grillo Luma by Cellaro is the wine to accompany fish first courses, light risottos, elaborate dishes of blue fish, cous cous and fish soups. It is also great with smoked fish. The ideal serving temperature is 12-14°C.
Curiosity
The wine Lumà Grillo Cellaro was 'recommended' by the jury of the International Wine Challenge, which officially sanctioned its quality with a prize of great value for the Sicilian winery.
