Terroir and wine-making

The Catarratto and Grillo grapes, soul of this white Cortese grow in the heart of the territory of Vittoria, in the province of Ragusa, where the terroir is complicit with their peculiar organoleptic qualities. Hand-picked, they are subjected to a temperature reduction of 10 °C for at least 24 hours before being de-stemmed. The fermentation on the skins lasts for about 2 days, after which the wine ferments in small oak barrels. It follows a rest on the fine yeasts of 7 months and 6 months of rest in bottle. The production methodology of Vanedda di Cortese follows organic methods in accordance with the dictates of the Sicilian wine tradition.

Notes of taste

An intense golden yellow colour reveals the richness of the white wine Vanedda: a broad and seductive perfume is decked out in notes of coconut and tropical fruit balanced by hints of sweet spices. On the palate it allows to perceive a structure and persistence that are integrated with a perfect acidity.

Vanedda white is perfect for pairing with first courses and fish dishes; a versatile white whose organoleptic profile enhances various culinary dishes.
