Terroir and wine-making

The C’D'C Rosso Baglio del Cristo di Campobello is a blend of Nero d'Avola, Merlot, Cabernet and Syrah grapes that grow on the sweet slopes of Campobello di Licata, between 230 and 260 meters above sea level. Here the winery each year collects by hand the fruits of its harvest that stores in small boxes, ready for traditional red wine making.

The grapes macerate on their skins for 10-15 days at a controlled temperature. The aging takes place for 6 months in steel tanks and for the next 6 months in bottle, after which it is ready to be tasted.

Notes of taste

With a decidedly fruity personality of blackberry, raspberry and black cherry syrup, C’D'C Rosso wraps the palate with its roundness and roundness, supported by good acidity.

Wine at the table

The C’D'C Rosso Baglio del Cristo by Campobello is the wine to be paired with classic appetizers of cold cuts and sliced meat. It is also suitable for pairing with meat dishes.

Curiosity

The label of C’D'C Red, White and Rosato wines from Baglio del Cristo di Campobello recalls the use of veils in Sicilian women who, in the seventeenth century, were so widespread that they were exempt from any duty.
