Terroir and wine-making

Sicily is a rich and prosperous land of native fruits: the Catarratto grapes abound in quality given by the most suitable terroir for their maturation. Feudo Disisa has chosen to cultivate its vineyards in the fascinating setting of Monreale, where the winegrowers of the winery go through the rows to dedicate themselves to the care of the vines. Every year, during the harvest season, they select the best grapes to bring to the winery where the vinification process takes place: it is here that the transformation of the Catarratto grapes into the Lu Bancu Sicilia DOC wine takes place. The aging in stainless steel tanks for 6 months and in bottle for another 2 months enhances the organoleptic qualities given by the terroir in original hints that contain the style of a cellar with consolidated experience.

Notes of taste

Catarratto Lu Bancu Feudo Disisa is a white Sicilia DOC that presents itself to the eye with a classic straw yellow color and green reflections. The bouquet of brooms and peaches invites you to taste where it reveals its freshness and harmony of fruity notes.

Wine at the table

A wine with such organoleptic qualities is the perfect companion for dishes with a delicate taste: vegetable preparations and fish dishes are enhanced in his company.

Curiosity

Il Catarratto del Feudo Disisa is one of the youngest creations in the winery, involved not only in the development of native grapes but also of international vines: in its estates grows the oldest vineyard of Chardonnay in Sicily.
