Terroir and wine-making
In the beneficial terroir of Grisì, near Monreale, thanks to the complicity of the climate and the influences of the surrounding environment, the Chardonnay grapes of Feudo Disisa are enriched with particular hints, rich in personality. Harvested by hand each year during the harvest, the grapes transported in the cellar ferment at a controlled temperature of 15-18 °C), then age in steel for six months and in bottle for another nine, until the wine reaches its strong organoleptic profile.
Notes of taste
The Chardonnay from Feudo Disisa is distinguished by its rich and original organoleptic notes: at first sight it shows an intense golden yellow color; also its bouquet is intense and engaging, with aromas of honey and citrus. On the palate it shows great persistence and pleasant wrapping.
Wine at the table
With these qualities, the Chardonnay Sicilia DOC Feudo Disisa is the right wine for those who want to accompany fish dishes with a strong sip. Excellent also with molluscs and crustaceans and with white meat.
Curiosity
In its estate located between Grisì and Monreale, the Feudo Disisa cares for the oldest vineyard of Chardonnay grapes in Sicily. The terroir is particularly inclined to exalt the qualities of the vine, giving particular nuances and unmistakable scents of a rich and sunny land.
