Terroir and wine-making

On the medium-sized soils that characterize the hills of Campobello di Licata, the vineyards of Nero d'Avola are born which the winery Baglio del Cristo di Campobello carefully raises to produce C’D'C' Rosato. The grapes harvested by hand are macerated on the skins for about 3 hours, before being gently pressed. The must is separated and decanted by cold settling. After fermentation, we pass to the aging in bottle, finally the C’D'C Rosato is ready to be tasted.

Notes of taste

The pink color anticipates intoxicating scents of rosehip, wild strawberries, raspberries, plums and mineral hints. On the palate it still reminds of fruit mixed with delicate aromatic herbs. A balanced and fragrant wine, with a slight savoury finish.

Wine at the table

The C’D'C Rosato Baglio del Cristo by Campobello is a pleasant accompaniment to dishes based on red meat. It is also ideal as an aperitif, especially if accompanied by a good board of cold cuts.

Curiosity

The winery Baglio del Cristo di Campobello cultivates thirty hectares of vineyards in Agrigento, in a unique organism of ten micro-areas that constitute an amalgamated property of fifty hectares, in the municipality of Campobello di Licata.
