Terroir and wine making
Made mainly from Grecanico grapes that grow in a territory between 50 and 250 meters above sea level, La Segreta wine is a tasty white Sicilia DOC. The vines are raised with a spur cordon system and Guyot. The vinification takes place by static decanting of the must and follows a destemming and a soft pressing of the berries. The grapes ferment at 15 ºC in steel tanks, where they stay until bottling.
Taste notes
At sight, La Segreta Planeta anticipates its freshness with a clear yellow color enriched with green reflections. The nose reveals citrus and fruity notes to which are added pleasing Mediterranean notes of peach, papaya and chamomile. On the palate La Segreta white wine is fine and balanced and confirms its pleasant freshness.
Wine at the table
Planeta bianco is appreciated both as an aperitif and together with appetizers, salads, light pasta with meat or seafood sauces. It is a versatile wine that lends itself to various combinations.
Curiosity
La Segreta takes its name from the wood that surrounds the vineyard owned by Planeta, located in the area of Menfi, in the province of Agrigento.
