Terroir and wine-making
Sul Vulcano Etna Rosato is a fascinating wine with a remarkable fragrance that recalls the typical characteristics of the volcanic territories of Sicily. Etna Rosato Doc is born at an altitude of 750 meters above sea level, on a sandy-woven lava soil, from trees and fir-trees with pruning in the form of a spur.
The harvest of the grapes of Nerello Mascalese takes place 1-2 weeks before the grape destined to the production of red wines, the maceration takes place in steel, at controlled temperature, while the aging has a duration of 3 months in oak and 2 months in bottle before being put on the market.
Notes of taste
The rosé Sul Vulcano Etna Rosato has a soft pink that opens the curtain of emotions: delicate floral notes with hints of plum and pink grapefruit, accompanied by an amazing freshness and a refined minerality.
Wine at the table
The rosé of the Donnafugata cellar comes to wonder with vegetarian dishes, Asian dishes, white meat and raw shellfish. To be served in medium-sized glasses, at a temperature between 10 - 12 °C.
Curiosity
The colours of the label of Etna Rosato Doc recall the nuances of the most important active volcano in Europe. Femininity, power and energy: this is how Etna Rosato on the Volcano tells us, from the first glance, about the elegance and fragrance of a Mediterranean love statement.
