Terroir and wine-making

The high-quality terroir of the Valle Isarco is the origin of many of the best white wine labels in Italy. Here, the Gewürztraminer grapes of the Valle Isarco are passively influenced by optimal soil and climate conditions: they grow on alluvial soils with gravel containing diorite and quarzophylite rich in skeletons, valuable elements for the maturation of the grapes. After the harvest in exposed vineyards between 400 and 700 meters above sea level, fermentation at controlled temperature uses only noble lees. The winemaking process in the cellar helps to enhance its qualities expressed at tasting.

Notes of taste

With an almost green yellow colour, this Gewürztraminer Alto Adige Valle Isarco DOC has a very aromatic and elegant aroma that is particularly noticeable in the notes of spices and pink. Its characteristic taste reveals a remarkable structure; a full and fulfilling wine.

Wine at the table

The fish dishes enjoy the company of the white South Tyrol DOC of the Valle Isarco obtained with the valuable grapes of the international vine; lobster, lobster, shrimp and crab are the favorite wine pairings, along with goose liver and spicy cheeses. It enhances the moments of the aperitif.

Curiosity

The Gewürztraminer, a grape from Tramin, has particularly adapted to the terroir of the Valle Isarco: cultivated on terraces more exposed to the sun, it receives the influences responsible for its precious aromas, so appreciated by its admirers.
