Terrorism and wine-making

The Site of Ulmo Merlot was born from years of experience that have led the winery’s entrepreneurs to invest in the vineyards of Ulmo, a French variety planted for the first time in 1987. The Merlot grape grows at a height of 195 meters above sea level with a farming system in Guyot. The production process involves de-staining with 14 days of permanence on the skins, fermentation at 28 °C, lactic malting in steel and aging for 14 months in wooden barrels.

Notes of taste

The red of the Ulmo Merlot site appears strong, decided, with a ruby-like hue. The nose is marked by woody notes of red fruits, currant, violet and plum, while the taste is characterized by a balsamic and spicy scent that welcomes a warm and elegant sip. Strong persistence in the finale, a combination of pleasures and vibrations.

Wine at the table

The red wine of the house Planeta is the perfect Merlot to accompany all meals of the dinner. Specialized in supporting meat dishes and aged cheeses.

Curiosity

The Ulmo Planeta site is a wine to taste young, fresh, but it is not excluded an aging of 8-10 years.
