Terroir and wine making

Cannonau di Sardegna Audarya is a DOC wine made with only Cannonau grapes grown in the "Is Crabilis" vineyard of Ussana, in the territory of Cagliari. The soil on which the famous Sardinian vine grows is calcareous-clay and is located 160 meters above sea level. The vineyards are only reared with a low sapling system and the grapes are strictly harvested and selected by hand. The grapes are macerated at a controlled temperature. Vinification involves malolactic fermentation and subsequent aging on the lees, in thermo-conditioned steel vats. This process aesalta the aromatic notes typical of Cannonau.

Taste notes

Cannonau di Sardegna Audarya has an intense ruby red color and a slightly spicy bouquet with hints of very ripe red fruit. The palate is structured, warm and persistent.

Wine at the table

At the table Cannonau di Sardegna Audarya loves the company of cured meats, first courses of land and pecorino cheese. It is also excellent with pork and roast lamb. The recommended serving temperature is 16-18 ºC.


The name of the winery Audarya which, among other wines, produces the Cannonau of Sardinia means "nobility of mind" in an ancient oriental language.
